The Center for Truth and Justice presents the following report to inform the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education. The purpose of this document is to present facts that substantiate violations of the right to education as a result of Azerbaijan’s nine-month-long illegal blockade of Nagorno Karabakh that began on December 12, 2022, and lasted through September of 2023. The Center for Truth and Justice offers first-hand testimonial evidence of those adversely affected by this blockade and the consequences they have suffered due to their inability to attend school during the long months of the blockade.
