CFTJ AT THE ICC ASSEMBLY OF STATE PARTIES

CFTJ AT THE ICC ASSEMBLY OF STATE PARTIES:
Adopt the Kampala amendments for the crime of aggression and affirm the equality of victims to allow them full access to justice.

CFTJ took part in an exclusive side event at the UN Headquarters in NYC during the Special Session of the ICC Assembly of States Parties, urging states to adopt the []Kampala amendments on the crime of aggression.

Judge Gassia Apkarian highlighted the situation of Armenian victims, emphasizing how the atrocities they’ve faced qualify as the crime of aggression and why closing jurisdiction gaps is critical to ensuring equal access to justice.

Just last month, our international conference brought experts together to focus on the Kampala amendments in the context of the crime of aggression, with particular attention to Armenia and Azerbaijan.

If you missed the live session at the UN, you can watch Judge Apkarian’s full remarks now posted on our IG page @CFTJustice.
